Bjørn Haugland, Chairman

Bjørn is a successful entrepreneur with a global network in the survey research world. He is a visionary leader, colourful and enthusiastic, with high personal drive. He has founded two of the most successful companies within the research space (The research company Feedback Research and the software company Confirmit) and has again proven his strategic skill as chairman of the board for various other start-up companies and for the Norwegian Market Research Association. He is educated in marketing from The Norwegian School of marketing (NMH) (both in Norway and Germany) and from the Norwegian School of Management (BI).
Dr. Lars Bjørn Larsen, PhD
Managing Director, Simula Innovation
Dr. Larsen is managing director of Simula Innovation AS which is responsible for commercialization and technology transfer from research conducted at Simula Research Laboratory. He holds an M.Sc and PhD in management and strategy from the Technical University of Denmark. He has international management consulting and project management experience, as well as experience from practical business development, most recently as the managing director of a medium-sized Norwegian company.
Dr. Robert H.P. Engels, PhD

Holding a PhD from from the University of Karlsruhe for research conducted in the area of Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, Dr. Engels studied Artificial Intelligence, Psychology and Computer Science at the University of Amsterdam, NL. He conducted his Msc thesis on applications of Inductive Logic Programming at the University of Stockholm, Sweden. Dr. Engels (co-)authored several papers in the area, organised several international and local (german) workshops on practical applications of Data Mining. Being an independent consultant in the area, he is currently appointed organisations like Movation a.s, REPLY, NRK and the Western Norway Reserach Institute within the areas of semantic annotation strategies for multimedia, information access, AI/ML and computer linguistics.
Dr. Ellen Altenborg, PhD
Special adviser, Telenor Group
Ellen Altenborg is PhD in business strategy and organization from the Norwegian School of Economics. Her field of specialization is strategy and business modelling within network industries. She holds the position of Special adviser to the Telenor ASA Group Management since October 2006. Prior to this she has among others been Vice President for Telenor Plus, and later Telenor Norway with responsibility for regulatory affairs, and a prior period as Special Adviser for Group Management. She has worked on a wide range of areas, from supporting new businesses, mergers, public listing, development of business model tools, regulatory affairs, security management, international business, cooperation with academic institutions, and more. She is Director of the Board of Telenor Kapitalforvaltning AS, and is vice director of the advisory board for Telenor Research and Innovation. Prior board positions include Bravida AS (installation), Telenor Direkte AS (telemarketing).

Stefan Marx

Stefan Marx, is educated bank economist and holds a diploma in marketing. His experiences cover banking, international marketing, mergers and acquisitions and being the CEO of international corporations. He is a board member of several companies and organisations within the IT and service-sector. Stefan Marx is quite involved in bilateral German-Norwegian matters, being a board-member of the German-Norwegian chamber of commerce, member of the Norwegian state's economy council for Germany and of the German Norwegian Network. Today Stefan Marx is the CEO of Branch Service (www.branchservice.com) a group of enterprises helping other businesses to internationalize. Branch has offices in more than 20 countries.
Carl Reidar Solvang
Chairman, Masai Scandinavia
Carl Reidar Solvang completed 3 years of studies at the University of Oslo (arithmetic, philosophy and information technology) before starting studies in Business and Administration at the University of Cologne where he graduated as a bachelor in 1988. He participated in several startups and also worked as a consultant for small and medium sized companies and organisations before being hired as the number two employee at Pareto Securities fixed income division in 1993. He was a cofounder of First Securities ASA in 1999 and was a strong contributor to the company's success until resigning in June 2003. In 2004 he started Masai Scandinavia AS, distributing MBT shoes in the Nordic region. The company turnover i 2008 is estimated to be NOK 120 Million. Carl is today the chairman of Masai Scandinavia AS and holds board positions in other technology companies like Ansur Technologies AS, and Wired Vision Media AS.
Stian Rønvåg
Creative Strategic Director, Dale+Bang
Stian Rønvåg is educated from University of Oslo with sociology, psychology, and cultural studies. He is also been a copywriter, planner, and account manager, in various communication agencies (McCann, Inferno, BBDO, and Dinamo). Rønvåg has developed his own course in Advertising and Brand Communication at Norwegian School of Creative Arts, in which he was Head of Studies from 2004 - 2008. He is now creative strategic director at Dale+Bang.
For five years he has been studying rhetorics and are now writing a book with Prof. Jens Kjeldsen at University of Bergen, which will explain creative advertising from a rhetoric point of view. He has written several articles regarding communication, branding, and persuasion, and he's a well-known speaker when it comes to these topics.
